For as long as I can remember working with investments has been my passion. In the eighth grade, I was president and founder of our class “stock club”. Entering college there was no need to waffle when selecting a major, finance was it for me. While my affinity to study investing from an early age may seem odd to most people, I can honestly say that as managing partner of HWM I am truly living out my dream career. The journey has been a pleasure because every day I can do what I love: work with our clients to understand and manage how their wealth relates to accomplishing their goals and dreams so they can confidently live their best life possible. Thomas Edison said, “I never did a day’s work in my life. It was all fun.” That is how I feel. I do not have a “job” – I help people doing something I love to do!

After studying finance at Colorado State University, I spent several years working at Wells Fargo as a Financial Branch Manager and Financial Advisor before co-founding Heirloom Wealth Management in 2014 with my long-time friend Mike Miller. The following year, Mike and I recruited our former Wells Fargo colleague Rick Hurley to join the HWM team. Today, Rick and I share managing partner functions at Heirloom and work together to service our clientele. I have a master’s degree in Personal Financial Planning from the College for Financial Planning and am a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional (CFP®).

Away from the office, I enjoy spending most of my free time with my wife Lesley and our children Harper, Hannah, and Conor. I am an avid reader, golfer, runner, and skier. I volunteer with the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (LLS) and in 2018 was nominated as a candidate for the LLS Man and Woman of the Year award. We are very active within the Denver, CO metro area Catholic Church community and our local parish, All Souls Catholic Church. Additionally, I serve as a member of the Investment Committee of the Archdiocese of Denver.
